The 4th annual St George’s Day International Jousting Tournament,
presented by Full Tilt will take place as part of Ironfest
over the Anzac long weekend of April 24, 25 & 26.

The Jousting action be viewed between 11am-12noon and 3pm-4pm daily.

Welcome to the St Georges Day Jousting Tournament, where you will see the worlds best
jousters compete for the honour of being the St Georges Day Jousting Champion.
This year we have a special treat for you with Dr Tobias Capwell,
Curater of Arms and Armour at the Wallace Collection in London and Author of many books, coming to Australia for the first time to compete in our prestigeous event.
Also competing this year is Arne Koets from Holland, Jeremy Oneail from the USA and all of our usual Australian competitors such as 3 times IJA World Jousting Champion Rod Walker,
along with our experienced jousters Luke Binks, Justin Holland and Phillip Oliver.
This year we also have a few new competitors wanting to make a name for themselves,
they have been training hard and this will be their first Australian Tournament,
so please welcome Andrew McKinnon, Fiona Hudson, Phillip Leitch
and Sasha Buchmann when they enter the field.

This year, not only will you see the normal hard hitting, shattering jousting
that you usually see at Ironfest, but you will get to see for the first time ever in Australia
four competitors dressed in head to toe Full Plate Armour take part in a solid lance joust with real steel coronels. Coronels are the three pronged sharp pointed pieces on the end of a solid timber lance and the object is to dig the coronel into your opponants sheild and either break the lance or unhorse your opponant.

So don't miss this Ironfest, it will be the best jousting you will ever get to see in Australia.
