If travelling to Lithgow from Sydney by car:
You will need, at some time, to get onto the M4 Motorway
which then becomes the Great Western Highway.
Follow it past Katoomba; Lithgow is about thirty kilometers
further west, (1/2 an hour further by car).
Once you have reached Lithgow, you will need to take a
right hand turn off the highway (take the turn where the sign indicates
'Lithgow and Windsor'. (Click here for map)
Proceed for about another kilometer before turning into
the first street on your left, to pass under an old railway bridge.
You will be now entering: 'The Kingdom of Ironfest'.
(Click here for Festival Site Map)
You can also find your way by checking Google Maps
After passing under the old railway bridge,
directly ahead (approximately 75 meters), on your right,
will be the entrance to off street parking.
Keep a look out for members of the Lithgow SES
who will direct you to a suitable location in which to park your vehicle.
Please remember to not leave any valuables in your vehicle.
Although festival security and the Lithgow SES will be patrolling
the car park areas for the duration of the festival, the festival organizers will
take no responsibility for loss or damage to your vehicle.
There is an area set aside just outside the festival site for disabled parking.
After passing under the old railway bridge,
continue straight ahead for about two hundred meters.
Before you come to the Main Festival Entrance,
which will be straight ahead, you will encounter members of the Lithgow SES,
who will be able to direct you to the disabled parking area.
After purchasing your ticket at the gate (if you haven't
already taken advantage of our pre-purchased ticket discount)
make sure you get a hold of our free Ironfest 2007 program.
Check out the Ironfest Festival Shop located just inside the gate.
All program changes will be posted outside the shop.
Take your time in orientating yourself with the map (inside the program),
and have a great festival!
Located across from the Lithgow Train Station on Main St, Lithgow.
Events will run thru all three days of the Ironfest. (click to see timetable)
